Creation Station Blog Hop: All New Products!

Creation Station header

Welcome to the Creation Station Blog Hop for June!  This month we are all about NEW PRODUCTS!!!!  Yep, it’s that magical time of year when the new ANNUAL CATALOG is released with tons of new stamps and goodies to create with. We have tons of ideas to share, so be sure to hop all the way around to see everyone’s cards and projects!

I splurged and got new goodies shipped 2nd day air (EEK….so excited) so I have lots of new stamps and things to use.  The first thing I gravitated to was the awesome new SWEET CUPCAKE BUNDLE.

Sweet Cupcake Bundle becreativewithnicole.com

I’m totally obsessed with the amazingly realistic cupcake frosting!  Isn’t this just too cool!

Sweet Cupcake Bundle

The bundle has the Sweet Cupcake photopolymer stamp set and Cupcake Cutouts Framelits.  There are so many ways to use them alone or together….I can’t wait to come up with as many ideas as possible!

Sweet Cupcake Mini Treat Card becreativewithnicole.com

I went a little bolder with today’s card versus the Peekaboo Peach card from yesterday.  This time POP OF PINK DSP was my inspiration.  The MINI TREAT BAG thinlit gives this card a fun playful design.  The inside of the card is just as bold as the outside using Melon Mambo, Whisper White and Basic Black.  I also added in a sprinkle of silver with glimmer paper and sequins.

Sweet Cupcake becreativewithnicole

The cupcake itself is only two colors surprisingly enough!  The cupcake liner is Smokey Slate and the frosting is Melon Mambo.  I simply stamped with different tones of ink.  Layer one for both is full strength ink then layers two and three are stamped off once.  With the coordinating die cuts, I had them cut out and on the card in no time!  I also used my favorite new loopy die from the framelits to add bling.  I have a feeling that this loopy die cut will end up on more than just Sweet Cupcake cards! Ok….enough about how much I love this bundle, lets move on to what the rest of the team has to offer.

The next stop is DENITA’S awesome blog.   If you’ve just started here, you can also go back to ELIZABETH’S wonderful blog to see her project for today.  Be sure to hop all the way around to see all the fabulous new catalog inspiration!

Party with Cake Funfold

I have a really FUN card for you today!  I am so loving PARTY WITH CAKE and wishing I’d ordered it sooner!

Party with Cake becreativewithnicole

Another bold card!  This stamp set is just so perfect for the bolder brighter look.  But wait until you see the inside!

Party with Cake becreativewithnicole.com

It’s a Pop Out Swing Shaker card!!  I originally make this type of card last fall and it was very popular.  If you’d like to see the original, click HERE to see the card and video with instructions.

Party with Cake

The original Pop Out Swing Shaker that I did had the typical shaker front with window sheet and dimensionals.  For this one I went with the flat shaker using VELLUM CARDSTOCK.  The bits and pieces inside the shaker were the cut outs from the die cuts that coordinate with the stamps called PARTY POP UP THINLITS.  I also added a few sequins inside and out.  The die cut sentiment was also from the left overs from die cutting.  It’s so fabulous to have a use for the intended die cut and the scraps…love it!

I hope you enjoyed this card today, I sure had a blast creating it!  Give it a try for  yourself, this funfold card is so addicting!

Party with Cake

Sometimes I love to do graphic, bolder cards.  I just (finally!) got PARTY WITH CAKE today and the first thing that came to mind was bold!

Party with Cake becreativeithnicole.com

I don’t know about you, but when I think of bold I think of Basic Black, Bermuda Bay and Melon Mambo.

Party with Cake

Melon Mambo is my main color, so I used it for the card base and the piece of cake.  I sprinkled in Bermuda Bay as an accent color.  The sentiment needed to stand out from the graphic designer paper, so I heat embossed in black. I stopped there with the front, almost added sequins, but less can be more sometimes!

Party with cake becreativewithnicole

With all the fantastic sentiments in PARTY WITH CAKE it’s easy to embellish the inside of your card to coordinate with the outside.  So, I carried over the sentiment in Black Archival ink and Melon Mambo then added sprinkles.

I can’t wait to dive into this bundle and bring you more samples!  I got several other bundles as well so I’ll be a very busy girl this next week!

A Nice Cuppa Tea

I’ve been working a lot with A NICE CUPPA over the last week or so since I used it for my tutorial in the April Create with Connie and Mary Mini Session.  Today I thought I’d share a quick CAS card with you.

A Nice Cuppa by becreativewithnicole.come

Isn’t this cute!  All it took was some designer series paper and an embossed image.

A Nice Cuppa

I embossed the image from A NICE CUPPA in white on Bermuda Bay to coordinate with the paper from HAVE A CUPPA DSP STACK.  I fussy cut the tea cups then added it to the card with dimensionals.

A Nice Cuppa becreativewithnicole

The card needed a little something, so I added several So Saffron flowers to add color.  It totally did the trick!  I also stamped the envelope to match…gotta coordinate!

Need more ideas for A Nice Cuppa and other stamps from the Occasions Catalog??  Well, it’s almost time for the release of the APRIL Mini Session from Create with Connie and Mary and we have TONS of ideas for you!

Bundle of Joy

Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week our theme is BUNDLE OF JOY so we are sharing BABY cards.

Lately I have been all about watercolor, so I did a baby card with a mixture of designer paper and watercolor.

Mossy Meadow Buggy

Bold color choice, don’t you think?  Mossy Meadow doesn’t usually jump to mind when thinking about baby cards, but I think this works!

Buggy

The bold polka dot pattern is a nice contrast to the soft watercolor baby buggy.  To get this soft look, I stamped the image with Mint Macaron first.  Then I added water to it with the aqua painter and layered on Mossy Meadow ink until it had the look I wanted.

Mossy Meadow

The buggy was fussy cut then added to a piece of watercolor paper that had the hearts from BIRTHDAY BLOOMS.  I stamped the hearts in Blushing Bride then added water to soften the images.  Lastly, I added a sentiment from COTTAGE GREETINGS.  This card ended up using 3 different stamp sets to create!

How about the good stuff now….the Supply List so you can make your own watercolor baby card.

All About Sale-a-bration!

Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week we are featuring SALE-A-BRATION products!

The SKY IS THE LIMIT stamp set was sitting on my desk, so I used it for today with a clean and simple design.

Congratulations my friend becreativewithnicole

Isn’t this the perfect example of a crisp and clean card!  Lots of white with a thick white card base and a layer of Whisper White popped up on dimensionals.

congratulations

I punched a couple of clouds with the TREE BUILDER PUNCH and the new PERFECTLY ARTISTIC designer paper in the Sale-a-bration catalog. It’s a set of beautiful marbled watercolor-like papers that are just gorgeous…a real must have!  I also snuck in a sentiment from another SAB set called HELLO.  The “congratulations” came from SKY IS THE LIMIT then I added in “my friend” from HELLO…..they work perfectly together!
