I’ve been on a break for the last two months, but I’m starting to post cards again since I love stamping so much! I’ve teamed up again with Create with Connie and Mary for the challenges they do on Thursdays and this week we have a beautiful color challenge.
So Saffron, Peek-a-boo Peach and Sahara Sand are gorgeous together, especially with spring starting. I went with COOL TREATS and created a yummy orange creamsicle card.
Peek-a-boo Peach is such a delicious color for COOL TREATS ice cream cones. All of my family love orange creamsicle ice cream so this color combination was an easy one to work with.
I created a melted ice cream background using watercolor paper and an aqua painter with the Peek-a-boo Peach ink pad. A few die cut sprinkles add some fun and we all know I love sprinkles and confetti! Lastly, the sentiment was stamped on slender banners to layer below the ice cream.

Welcome to the February 2017 Color Fusers Blog Hop! Each month we work with a group of colors to bring you inspiration. Check out the fabulous colors we have to work with this month.
We only have to use three of the colors, but I love the challenge of using all four! I was able to pull it off using the fun COOL TREATS bundle from the Occasions Catalog.
It ended up being quite easy to incorporate all the colors with this stamp set. It all started with the Peekaboo Peach paper from the TASTY TREATS Specialty DSP. It provided a wonderful background to work with.
Lots of details went into the rest of the card. A fun sundae was placed in a set of circles and surrounded by the sentiment. I love how the sentiment circles around the focal point. It’s a unique way to do a greeting for sure! I had originally placed the words in a zig zag pattern but really loved it when I thought to put it along the top and bottom.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this COOL TREATS idea! It was so much fun to create for you! Now it’s time to move on to all of the other Design Team members blogs and check out their amazing creations!
I wanted to make an uplifting card for a friend today, so what better stamp set to use than LIFT ME UP.
There are so many ways to use the beautiful balloon die cuts and stamps! I ended up using the coordinating Sale-a-bration Freebie CARRIED AWAY DSP as inspiration. The colors are beautiful and bright so it was easy to to come up with something.

It’s finally here……the NEW OCCASIONS CATALOG and SALE-A-BRATION!!! This is the best time of the year! Who doesn’t love NEW stamps and even better……FREE stamps!!
I made a fun card to celebrate using the new CUSTOM TEE stamp set.
Isn’t this perfect!! I am one HAPPY STAMPER…..LOL!
The layering of color behind the circle is from the TASTY TREATS Designer Series Paper. It’s meant to coordinate with COOL TREATS, but I love the colors so I used it for this card.
The tee shirt is pretty simple yet has a lot of depth. I simply stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black ink then added my sentiment with Watermelon Wonder. The depth comes in from the shading I did with the NEW WATERCOLOR PENCILS. I added a little color around the edges of the tee shirt with the Calypso Coral pencil and a little blue around the outside with Pacific Point. A little coloring goes a long way, especially with the blue. A little bit of versa marker to smooth things out gave me a gorgeous tee shirt!
I have something else to be excited about……..the JANUARY MINI SESSION from Create with Connie and Mary is on it’s way!!

With the holidays fast approaching, I have been looking for ways to make simple yet beautiful cards. Today I let the Designer Series Paper do all the work.
I didn’t originally intend for the card to be so simple, but I loved the look of this sentiment stamped on the designer paper.
I die cut pine needles and pine cones then even pulled out sequins, but it all seemed to be over done. I tried out each item with the card and it just didn’t fit. Goes to show that sometimes just some simple stamping and beautiful paper is enough! This would be a great design to mass produce if you needed cards at the last minute.
OK….how about that announcement that I mentioned in the title. There is something exciting going on over at CREATE WITH CONNIE AND MARY!! Head on over to find out what the excitement is all about…..I know you’ll love it…..we are bringing back a great treat!!
Add this bundle to the coordinating PRESENTS AND PINECONES DSP and you can’t go wrong! The colors are so amazing, I can’t get enough of the new In Color EMERALD ENVY. It’s absolutely the perfect green for Christmas!
I also used one of the new embossing folders, PINE BOUGH. It creates a beautiful background without a lot of work. It looks fabulous behind my sentiment without any extra bells and whistles. The only thing I added in was a little bling (couldn’t help myself!). The FANCY FROST SEQUINS coordinate perfectly and give a nice little sparkle to the card to compete the look.
Have you started crafting for Christmas yet?? Do you want ideas that you can use without having to go through all the planning and designing?? Well, how about checking out the NOVEMBER MINI SESSION from Create with Connie and Mary!!

One of the things I love about Halloween is making lots of fun treats to give away. Today’s idea is matchbox style treat featuring JAR OF HAUNTS.
These little treats are not only cute, but easy to make. The Basic Black card stock measured 7 1/4″ x 3″ and was scored at 2 3/4″ and 5 3/4″. For embellishment, I used the Jack-o-Lantern from JAR OF HAUNTS and HALLOWEEN NIGHT SPECIALTY DSP.
Inside is a candy with a fun sentiment. A great way to give a little treat or to even advertise your business. Slip a business card in with the treat and hand these out everywhere you go!
When I get a little time this week I think I’ll expand on this idea and do a bunch for everyone at work. Cookie Cutter Halloween and Spooky Fun would be a couple of other great stamps to use with this idea.
Don’t forget about more great ideas that will be going live Tuesday is the OCTOBER MINI SESSION from Create with Connie and Mary. We have FULL tutorials for you, all the work is done…you just sit down and craft! For more information, go to Create with Connie and Mary. I hope you’ll join us!
