Halloween Cuties

Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week our theme is HALLOWEEN CUTIES.

ccmfall3

Of course the first thing that came to mind was COOKIE CUTTER HALLOWEEN.  What could be cuter than these cute little guys?!

I love making cute little 3D items to give away as gifts and these fun little bookmarks really fit the bill!

I am going to get each of my kids a new book and add this bookmark to keep track of their place.  It’s a great way to give a treat that doesn’t involve candy!

skeleton-bookmark

I kept the bookmarks pretty simple.  The skeleton has a little bit of shading added with a gray marker.  Otherwise, he’s simply stamped and added to a large paper clip with a dimensional.  Several years ago i made a bulk purchase of large paperclips with a spot on the front to attach something.  I still have  quite a few left, so I thought it was time to pull them out again!

As with the skeleton, I kept this one simple as well with a little shading.

vampire-cookie-cutter

The little vampire was the most work, I colored his face and clothes.  But isn’t he just the cutest!  The coordinating Cookie Cutter Builder Punch made all of this a snap so no fussy cutting was involved!  You could easily make enough for a whole classroom or for party favors.

Halloween Treat Ideas

I’ve compiled a bunch of great ideas for Halloween treats so you can prep for upcoming parties.  You can never start too soon!

Spooky Fun by becreativewithnicole.com

This first one is a card and treat together.  I used the BAKER’S BOX and HALLOWEEN NIGHTS DSP to create a fun BOX to put treats in.  This comes together so quickly since the DSP does a lot of the work for you!

sppoky-fun-treat-bag-becreativewithnicole-com

For this treat, create a MINI TREAT BAG with DSP and stuff it with goodies.  In this type of bag I like to put a little pad of paper along with pencils and stickers for kids to have something other than candy.  So many options with the awesome HALLOWEEN NIGHTS DSP.

The MINI TREAT BAG thinlit can also be used to make half sized treat bags.  These are perfect for pixie stix, pencil or Twizler.  I decorated this set with COOKIE CUTTER HALLOWEEN and it came together so quickly!  Again, the DSP does a lot of the design work for you.

If you don’t have die cuts to make the previous treats, why not make something simple and do a matchbox style treat.

This is super easy to make and do multiples of.  What a fun way to give a treat at school or to hand out to everyone you know around town.  Check HERE for the dimensions if you’d like to make your own.

Cookie Cutter Halloween

I got a chance to sit down and do a little playing with the fun COOKIE CUTTER HALLOWEEN stamp set.  Love how versatile they made the COOKIE CUTTER BUILDER PUNCH by creating TWO stamp sets that coordinate!

cookie-cutter-halloween-becreativewithnicole-com

When I started making this card I had a different idea in mind and it morphed into what you see, which I love even better than my original thought.  Don’t you just love when creativity just takes over and leads you into a new direction!

cookie-cutter-skeleton

It all started out with a splash of Elegant Eggplant ink using a stamp from GORGEOUS GRUNGE.  I added in a brick wall using the HALLOWEEN NIGHT SPECIALTY DSP and the rest just fell into place.  A few elements were taken from SPOOKY FUN.  I love all the little stamps in that set that work for so many things.  I used the pumpkins, spider web and spider plus the greeting.  Really, I used more from SPOOKY FUN than I did COOKIE CUTTER HALLOWEEN.  That set just provided the super cute skeleton and his Elegant Eggplant bow tie.cookie-cutter-halloween-becreativewithnicole-comTomorrow I have another fun idea with SPOOKY FUN to share for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop.  Don’t forget to subscribe to the October Mini Session, it goes live on the 11th!

Colors of Halloween

Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week our theme is the COLORS OF HALLOWEEN.

ccmfall3

You may have noticed that I enjoy making Halloween cards and treats so this month will be so much fun!!  I actually pulled out an idea from Mary’s playbook and did a slender card with hang overs.

cookie-cutter-halloween-by-becreativewithnicole-com

I just LOVE this year’s Halloween sets, they are so great together!  COOKIE CUTTER HALLOWEEN plus SPOOKY FUN equals a really cool card!!

cookie-cutter-halloween

I combined classic colors of Halloween with the super cute skeleton.  Did I mention how EASY this was to make??  The COOKIE CUTTER stamp sets have a coordinating COOKIE CUTTER BUILDER PUNCH.  Love it when tools can make my crafting experience easier!  I simply stamped the skeleton and punched him out.  I stamped a bow tie then punched it out….simple as that!  The HALLOWEEN NIGHT DSP gave the card lots of color and pattern and the skeleton made a great focal point.  Only a small portion of stamping was involved and the card was complete in no time!

To make your own slender COOKIE CUTTER card (measures 3 3/4″ x 5 1/4″), check out the supply list and color inspiration below.
