Spooky Fun by

I personally look forward to the new Halloween sets and accessories every year.  It’s such a fun holiday to create cards and treats for.  I am loving the fun SPOOKY FUN Bundle that has a great stamp set and thinlits.

My first idea was a fun little Mini Treat Bag card.  This was SUPER easy to put together yet so cute!

Spooky Fun Mini Treat Bag

The treat bag was made with the HALLOWEEN NIGHT DSP and the MINI TREAT BAG THINLIT.  A few die cuts and a just a little bit of stamping later, I had a fun card ready to go!  Wouldn’t it be great to give this card with a treat sized bag of M&M’s or some other little candy tucked inside.  With the clean and simple design of this card, you could easily make a bunch of these for a party!

Spooky Fun Treat

This sweet little BAKER’S BOX is another quick and easy way to give spooky little treats.  The box is quickly and easily embellished with the HALLOWEEN NIGHT DSP.  I cut out a strip of the houses and wrapped it all the way around the box…easy peasy!  A bat and a simple sentiment make this another quick and simple treat to make for lots of trick or treater’s this year.

Hello Spring

Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week our theme is HELLO SPRING so we are featuring FLORAL projects!

I have been all about cards lately.  So to switch things up a little, I made a BAKER’S BOX for you today!

Celebrate Spring Baker's Box becreativewithnicole

Doesn’t this just scream spring!!  I almost made a Mini Treat Bag, but I thought the BAKER’S BOX was perfect for a grown up Easter gift that I need for Sunday.

I wanted light and happy spring colors, so BIRTHDAY BOUQUET DSP was used for the box.  To keep the sentiment bold, I went with the EXPRESSIONS NATURAL ELEMENTS.  The “celebrate” element hangs over the sides a little, but I like how that looks!

I kept the flower monochromatic with a layering of Blushing Bride BOTANICAL BUILDER flowers.  I added several leaves as well in different colors to make the flower larger and bolder.

Check the supply list below so you can make your own BOTANICAL BLOOMS BAKER’S BOX!!

DIE CUTS:  Baker’s Box Thinlits, Botanical Builder Framelits

PAPER: Birthday Bouquet DSP, Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzaz, Mossy Meadow

ACCESSORIES: Big Shot, Stampin’ Trimmer, Tear Tape, bone folder, dimensionals, Expressions Natural Elements, Mini Clothes Pin, White Perfect Accents, Tombo All-Purpose Adhesive

Halloween Baker’s Box

Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week we are all about HALLOWEEN TREATS!

HOWL-O-WEEN TREAT is most definitely my favorite Halloween set this year.  I haven’t taken this set of my desk since I got it!  For today’s project, I used it to embellish a BAKER’S BOX.

I used HAPPY HAUNTING Designer Series Paper to create the box.  I added a small square of Basic Black cardstock inside the box to reinforce the bottom….. I want to load this with tons of candy!!

Lots of embellishments make this quite a treat indeed!  A spider web doily created the background for the spooky skull and bones.  A little silver glimmer paper added sparkle to complete the look.  Did you notice the little bit of Bermuda Bay that I snuck in??  I added a small starburst made with one of the thinlits in the BAKER’S BOX set.  I think Bermuda Bay looks gorgeous with Tangelo Twist and Basic Black….a perfect Halloween color combo!

Here’s a list of products used for today’s Halloween Treat:

STAMPS:  Howl-o-ween Treat

INKS:  Memento Tuxedo Black

PAPER:  Happy Haunting DSP, Bermuda Bay, Whisper White, Silver Glimmer

ACCESSORIES:  Baker’s Box Thinlit Set, Spider Web Doily, Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack (star punch), Bermuda Bay sequin trim, Mini Metallic Clothespins

Let’s get ready to check out the rest of the treats featured by the Design Team.  But first, did you know that the September Mini Session has a couple of BONUS ideas???  Yep, Connie and Mary did remakes of two of the tutorials with Christmas stamps….how cool is that!!  How about a sneak peek??

Mint Macaron!

Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  August is all about the new IN COLORS and today we are featuring MINT MACARON.

BLOG HOP BADGE MAINYou should be arriving from Mary Brown’s fabulous blog, wasn’t her idea amazing!  If you are just starting out here, welcome and enjoy the ride!  Be sure to stop by all of the blogs to check out the creations we have for you today.

Instead of a card, I went 3D today with a sweet little Baker’s Box.

Mint Macaron Baker's Box

Is this cute or what?!!!  I have to admit, I got the Baker’s Box Thinlet back in May, but up until now I haven’t really done much with it.  But I am glad I went in this direction today, I think this box looks great in Mint Macaron!

Baker's Box

A bit of gold and natural wood add a little interest and coordinate well with Mint Macaron.

Mint Macaron Box

I used the coordinating set Homemade for You to add polka dots all around the box and on the starburst in the front.  A bit of Mint Macaron Dotted Lace Trim makes a nice closure with a small clothes pin.

Baker's Box closure

The lace is folded over the back and held in place with the clothespin to make the box easy to open.  Also, I set the focal point on the front with a couple of dimensionals so the ribbon can be removed and re-purposed!  This was such a fun little treat to put together, I think I’ll be trying out a few more designs this week!

Now it’s time to head over and see what Debbie Henderson has for us today, I know it will be amazing!
