Ann e-mailed me last night about gathering ideas for wedding favors and save the date cards. So, I sat down and came up with one idea last night. The set Please Come on page 129 of the Spring/Summer catalog was perfect for the save the date card . I did it like an ATC. The favor is matching and is a slider for chocolate squares. Both are simple but elegant. The Together Forever set on page 46 is a fantastic wedding set, there are so many options. And I really like the so saffron and chocolate together. My wheels are still turning so I am gong to try a few other ideas, stay tuned!
The new catalog is almost here! Any day now my shipment of catalogs will arrive, I can’t wait to get my hands on it! My friend Audrey just returned from Convention in Salt Lake City, she had so much to share! Stampin’ Up! is celebrating 2o years of stamping, so this year will be the best yet! I will be starting a newsletter this month that will help keep everyone up to date on all the new promotions and exciting new projects. So, hang on to your hats…it’s going to be a wild ride!!
I have been MIA for a couple weeks, I have been working overtime. But, now I am back to my regular schedule and I have been making baby cards. I LOVE the Nursery Necessities set. I ended up with 3 really cute cards. More cards and projects will be uploaded soon…the new catty is coming and I can’t wait to get my hands on all the great new stamps and embellishments. Thanks for looking!
Jar from IKEA that Ann brought with her. We used punches and
ribbon to add color. This is a great little hostess gift.
This is the paper bag purse. I went back and added
a little ribbon at the bottom of the decorative paper,
it needed a little something more.
I have had so many things running through my mind lately that I can’t keep them all straight! I need to start a list of things to make…there are just too many cool projects out there! These are a couple of the projects I made with Ann, Jackie and Audrey when they visited last time. The cute jar was something Ann had found at IKEA, I think it is such a great little gift. And the bag purse was a cute idea I found on Beate’s blog. Thanks for all your inspiration girls!!!
I spent some time scrapbooking yesterday, I found this really cute project in my massive pile of project ideas. It is a tutorial from StampinTerri, I had printed it off in 2007 and have just now gotten to try it. The idea is very simple, 1 sheet of 12×12 cardstock cut in half and scored to create a base. Then you glue in 6 invitation size envelopes to create a file folder for you pictures. Just cute down cardstock to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 to go in each envelope and you have a really cute brag book. This is a perfect project for using Simply Scrappin kits, you have everything you need..you can make several books from one set depending on how many adhesive dye cuts used for each book. I have done 2 so far from last catalog’s level 3 Simply Scrappin kit. Thanks Terri for the great instructions!
Ann showed me this cute little mini book made from a single sheet of 12×12 designer paper. I added tags for each of the pages, all the tags say Happy Birthday in some way or another. I used Jersey Shore Designer Paper and many different Birthday sets.
I finally got a chance to play around a bit with some new ideas I’ve discovered. Beate has a great little Mini Photo Book Tutorial on Splitcoaststampers. I tried it out and I love it!! The instructions were easy to follow. I used the Jersey Shore Designer Paper and chipboard coasters. This project is easy to put together and too cute!
This book is my favorite project to date. I made this for my upline’s event in April and I just love it. I demonstrated a 3×3 version for the sake of time, but the 6×6 version has the biggest WOW factor. The first book shown is the 4×4 size, this one if perfect for keeping in your purse or in your desk drawer at work. The second picture shows the inside of the 4×4. The third picture shows a few different designs of the 4×4, and the last picture is the inside of the 3×3 version that I demonstrated in April at my Ann Lightner’s event. The last book is the best one of all, I used Berry Bliss DSP and Pretty in Pink CS. I really love how this turned out, not only do I love pink and chocolate, but I was able to get a fairly recent event scrapbooked! Sofia is my 2 1/2 year old and she is in love with horses. So for her 2nd birthday, I had a cowgirl party for her. This book really showcased the party and the Berry Bliss paper was just perfect. This book takes quite a bit of paper, but it is worth the time and effort. I did not design this project, I found it when looking though the Tart and Tangy samples and I had to try it. The possibilities are endless! To see all of Stampin’ Up!’s wonderful Designer Series Paper click here
