mini-treat-bags-becreativewithnincole-comI combined several products for my half size Mini Treat Bags, love how everything works together so well!

cookie-cutter-skeleton-becreativewithnicole-com

Half size mini treat bags are super fun to make and prefect party favors!  I kept my designs fairly simple so you could use these ideas and make them in multiples for your parties this year.

cookie-cutter-mummy-becreativewithnicole-com

Using COOKIE CUTTER HALLOWEEN and the coordinating COOKIE CUTTER BUILDER PUNCH make this something that would be simple to crank out a bunch of in a short amount of time.  I kept the stamping simple by choosing the characters that only needed black ink.  Just stamp and punch!

spooky-fun-ghosts-becreativewithnicole-com

Make your treats quickly by doing all of your steps assembly line style.  If you want to make several of one design, cut all your paper and assemble the mini treat bags then doing all your stamping to complete the treat.

Let your Designer Series Paper do the work for you!  I didn’t have to do anything extra for my backgrounds, the fabulous HALLOWEEN NIGHTS DSP did the work for me!  I just added die cuts and bling!

Creation Station: New Holiday Products

Creation Station header

Welcome to the Creation Station Blog Hop for September!  This month we are sharing cards and projects with our favorite products from the NEW 2016 Holiday Catalog.  We have tons of ideas to share, so be sure to hop all the way around to see everyone has created!

Spooky Fun by becreativewithnicole.com

I personally look forward to the new Halloween sets and accessories every year.  It’s such a fun holiday to create cards and treats for.  I am loving the fun SPOOKY FUN Bundle that has a great stamp set and thinlits.

spooky fun bundle

My first idea was a fun little Mini Treat Bag card.  This was SUPER easy to put together yet so cute!

Spooky Fun Mini Treat Bag becreativewithnicole.com

The treat bag was made with the HALLOWEEN NIGHT DSP and the MINI TREAT BAG THINLIT.  A few die cuts and a just a little bit of stamping later, I had a fun card ready to go!  Wouldn’t it be great to give this card with a treat sized bag of M&M’s or some other little candy tucked inside.  With the clean and simple design of this card, you could easily make a bunch of these for a party!

Spooky Fun Treat becreativewithnicole.com

This sweet little BAKER’S BOX is another quick and easy way to give spooky little treats.  The box is quickly and easily embellished with the HALLOWEEN NIGHT DSP.  I cut out a strip of the houses and wrapped it all the way around the box…easy peasy!  A bat and a simple sentiment make this another quick and simple treat to make for lots of trick or treater’s this year.

Now that you have Halloween inspiration, let’s check out what the rest of the very talented Design Team has made.  The next stop is Sarah Klass and if you just started here, be sure to go back and see Jen Arkfeld.   As you are hopping through, leave comments to let us know what you think….we love to get your feedback!  Thanks so much for joining us this month for New Holiday Catalog Favorites!

Creation Station Blog Hop

Creation Station header

Welcome to the Creation Station Blog Hop for July!  This month we are sharing cards and projects with the theme GIFTS FROM THE GARDEN.  We have tons of ideas to share, so be sure to hop all the way around to see everyone’s cards and projects!

Since we are going with a garden theme today, I used the new bundle JAR OF LOVE to create a fun little seed packet holder and matching gift card.

Jar of Love becreativewithnicole.com

I just love this bundle!!!  My brain hurts just contemplating how many different ways to use these cool Mason jars!  This little seed packet holder and card are a perfect little something to give as a thank you.

Jar of Love becreativewithnicole

To make the seed packet holder sturdy I used kraft cardstock.  I love this kraft color with the blues and coral….so pretty!  Have you guessed how I made the little pocket??  If you said ENVELOPE PUNCH BOARD you are right!  It was easy peasy.  Just cut the kraft cardstock 6″x 6″ and start at the 3″ line for scoring and punching.  Instead of scoring the last flap, leave it alone and cut it down instead.  I just left about a half inch of cardstock at the back to support the seed packets.

Jar of Love

The jar of flowers is pretty simple as well.  All the flowers and leaves were die cut with the coordinating EVERYDAY JARS FRAMELITS.  The flowers are Calypso Coral, the first layer is stamped off to give the variation in color.  The leaves are in Pear Pizzaz which looks beautiful with the coral.  I added in Dapper Denim as an accent color to tie in the color from the seed packet….worked out pretty well!!

Jar of Love card becreativewithnicole.com

The gift card is done with all the same colors and made to fit the medium sized jar.  I cut the card base 7 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ with the focus all on the jar of flowers.  It compliments the seed packet nicely and gives you a way to add a little note to the recipient.

Jar of Love becreativewithnicole.com

I hope I provided you will a little inspiration for JAR OF LOVE.  Now let’s check out what the rest of the very talented Design Team has made.  The next stop is Mikaela Titheridge and if you just started here, be sure to go back and see Kimberly Van Diepen.   As you are hopping through, leave comments to let us know what you think….we love to get your feedback!  Thanks so much for joining us this month for GIFTS FROM THE GARDEN.

Creation Station Blog Hop: All New Products!

Creation Station header

Welcome to the Creation Station Blog Hop for June!  This month we are all about NEW PRODUCTS!!!!  Yep, it’s that magical time of year when the new ANNUAL CATALOG is released with tons of new stamps and goodies to create with. We have tons of ideas to share, so be sure to hop all the way around to see everyone’s cards and projects!

I splurged and got new goodies shipped 2nd day air (EEK….so excited) so I have lots of new stamps and things to use.  The first thing I gravitated to was the awesome new SWEET CUPCAKE BUNDLE.

Sweet Cupcake Bundle becreativewithnicole.com

I’m totally obsessed with the amazingly realistic cupcake frosting!  Isn’t this just too cool!

Sweet Cupcake Bundle

The bundle has the Sweet Cupcake photopolymer stamp set and Cupcake Cutouts Framelits.  There are so many ways to use them alone or together….I can’t wait to come up with as many ideas as possible!

Sweet Cupcake Mini Treat Card becreativewithnicole.com

I went a little bolder with today’s card versus the Peekaboo Peach card from yesterday.  This time POP OF PINK DSP was my inspiration.  The MINI TREAT BAG thinlit gives this card a fun playful design.  The inside of the card is just as bold as the outside using Melon Mambo, Whisper White and Basic Black.  I also added in a sprinkle of silver with glimmer paper and sequins.

Sweet Cupcake becreativewithnicole

The cupcake itself is only two colors surprisingly enough!  The cupcake liner is Smokey Slate and the frosting is Melon Mambo.  I simply stamped with different tones of ink.  Layer one for both is full strength ink then layers two and three are stamped off once.  With the coordinating die cuts, I had them cut out and on the card in no time!  I also used my favorite new loopy die from the framelits to add bling.  I have a feeling that this loopy die cut will end up on more than just Sweet Cupcake cards! Ok….enough about how much I love this bundle, lets move on to what the rest of the team has to offer.

The next stop is DENITA’S awesome blog.   If you’ve just started here, you can also go back to ELIZABETH’S wonderful blog to see her project for today.  Be sure to hop all the way around to see all the fabulous new catalog inspiration!

Masculine Birthday

Creation Station header

Welcome to the Creation Station Blog Hop for May!  This month we are featuring MASCULINE cards and projects, so be sure to hop all the way around to see all the fabulous ideas!

I created a birthday card for you that combines several items from the Occasions catalog….the SUNBURST THINLIT, NUMBER OF YEARS and PARTY WITH CAKE.

Number of Years becreativewithnicole

The inspiration for this idea came directly from my husband.  It’s a running joke that he is 29 and holding…..and he’s said that the entire 17 years I’ve known him!  I can tell you he’s definitely not 29, but what’s the harm in letting him think he is??

Number of Years

I started out with Basic Gray as my card base and added lots of splotches with GORGEOUS GRUNGE.  I just love how a little grunge can give a more masculine look and feel to a card when using the right colors.  Then I layered on a couple of sunbursts that had been cut down with circle framelits.  I added a little grunge stamping to both then offset them slightly.

Number of Years by becreativewithnicole

The die cut numbers from NUMBER OF YEARS are just too awesome and were the perfect addition to the center of the sunbursts.  I also added a couple of sentiments in the bottom right corner to complete the design.  “Let’s Party” from PARTY WITH CAKE was an obvious choice, it coordinated perfectly!  Just another example of how well the different stamp sets can work together!

Number of Years inside of card

After the front was all grunged up, I had to do the same for the inside!  I used PARTY WITH CAKE again for the awesome sentiment and added lots of splotches.  I think Hubby is going to get a kick out of this card for sure!

Now let’s check out what the rest of the FABULOUS Creation Station Design Team has for you.  The next stop is KIMBERLY VAN DIEPEN’s awesome blog.   If you’ve just started here, you can also go back to DENITA WRIGHT’s wonderful blog to see her project for today.  Be sure to hop all the way around to see all the fabulous Spring inspiration!

Spring Flowers

Creation Station header

Welcome to the April Creation Station Blog Hop!  Now that spring is officially here, we thought you’d love to see ideas featuring SPRING FLOWERS and the BOTANICAL BLOOMS BUNDLE.  Since I’ve been all about the March My Paper Pumpkin lately, I made a fun project for you featuring it and the BOTANICAL BUILDERS FRAMELITS.

Paper Pumpkin tag box and card becreativewithnicole.com

Yesterday, I used the same collection of colors that coordinate beautifully with the March My Paper Pumpkin.  I carried that theme over to today and made a card and set of tags that would make a perfect hostess gift!

Botanical Builder becreativewithnicole.com

First let’s talk about the box of tags.  I came up with 6 tags for you but I didn’t want to just show you the tags, I wanted a box to give them in.  The first thing that came to mind was to the oh so easy TAG A BAG GIFT BOXES!  These boxes are super easy to put together and make a fabulous gift with little effort!  I simply created a belly band to decorate the clear sleeve (I used a part of the MPP kit!) and added a flower. What could be simpler!

Tags My Paper Pumpkin becreativewithnicole.com

Now, let’s talk TAGS!  These little guys came together in a flash!  I sat down with the MPP kit and a few punches and they practically made themselves!  I used different bits and pieces of the kit to give variety.  The SCALLOPED TAG TOPPER PUNCH came in handy as well as the BANNER TRIPLE PUNCH.  And of course, we can’t forget about the BOTANICAL BUILDER FRAMELITS!  Here’s a quick tip for saving time, get the colors of cardstock that you are focusing on and go ahead and die cut a bunch of flowers all at once.  When you are creating this gives you the opportunity to try out different color combinations and looks.  Anything that is left over can be easily used on another card or project!

Tags becreativewithnicole.com

I also used the 1 1/4″ CIRCLE PUNCH for sentiments.  You may notice that I used the My Paper Pumpkin stamp set for all the tags.  The simple greetings make great tags!

Tags2 becreativewithnicole.com

I also added in the gorgeous POOL PARTY GLITTER RIBBON.  It was a great finishing touch for my tags!

Tags3 becreativewithnicole.com

I also added in the green pearls from the MPP kit and WHITE PERFECT ACCENTS for the center of my flowers.

Paper Pumpkin tag box and card becreativewithnicole.com

Every gift needs a card, so I created a card with the CUPS & KETTLE FRAMELITS and more bits and pieces of the My Paper Pumpkin kit.  The card coordinates beautifully since I used the floral paper on the card to tie it all together.

Let me ask you something….are you a Paper Pumpkin subscriber yet??  If you are then woo hoo for you!  If not, what are you waiting for??

PP_Free-Gift_Slider-Image

Stampin’ Up! is celebrating the 3 year birthday of Paper Pumpkin by giving an extra, yes I said EXTRA stamp set in the April Kit!  Now is the time to take action if you haven’t tried these awesome kits yet!  The March kit is just amazing, I am just getting started with it and will have lots of alternative ideas to share.

Watercolor Birthday Blooms

Creation Station headerWelcome to the CREATION STATION BLOG HOP!  This month we are all about BIRTHDAYS!! There is a big movement going on in the Stampin’ Up! world to bring back giving birthday cards otherwise known as #imbringingbirthdaysback.  Stampin’ Up! even came out with a stamp for us that is just awesome!!  The stamp sold out in four hours flat so they have decided to make it available for the foreseeable future starting tomorrow!  So, let’s join the movement and check out some fabulous ideas and bring back sending birthday cards!!As you may know, BIRTHDAY BLOOMS is my current favorite set, so I have a few watercolor cards for you today!Birthday Blooms Bermuda Bay becreativewithnicoleThis first card is watercolor with the blooms heat embossed in black.  I used a couple of bold colors, Bermuda Bay and Cucumber Crush, for a stunning contrast.

Birthday Bloom Watermelon Wonder

Then I did just the opposite and used white embossed flowers with the bold colors Watermelon Wonder and Cucumber Crush.  I love how beautiful these two colors are together!!

Bermuda Bay Birthday Bloom Watercolor

With both cards I layered on the color.  I give a light color over the blooms then add in contrast by adding deeper color to areas.

Watermelon Birthday Bloom becreativewithnicole

Which card is your favorite, the Black heat embossed flowers…or the white??  I can’t decide!

Valentines

Creation Station header

Welcome to the CREATION STATION BLOG HOP!  This month we are all about VALENTINES!! The big day is less than two weeks away so you’ve come to the right place.  The blog hop is full of fabulous ideas so make sure you visit all of them!!

I was so excited to order new supplies that I didn’t think about Valentine’s Day being around the corner….so no Valentine sets (sad face).  BUT WAIT!  I know there are others out there that did the same, so I am giving you a couple of Valentines using everyday stamps.

Sky is the Limit becreativewithnicole.com

This first card was so much fun to make!  If you look closely at the background, you can see the bokeh effect which is a favorite technique of mine.  It gives such a lovely soft look that’s perfect for a sky scene.

Soaring becreativewithnicole.com

A couple of vellum clouds added in give more interest without overtaking the plane.  And of course since it’s a Valentine, I had to add some hearts!  This just goes to show you how versatile SKY IS THE LIMIT really is!  The variety of greetings really makes this one a gem and must have!!

sky is the limit becreativewithnicole

Now, how about one that’s clean and simple??  I used a Sale-a-bration set that is another must have…HELLO.

Hello by becreativewithnicole.com

How is that for simple!  I love the giant HELLO in this set, it’s just so darn useful!  I was able to add in another stamp set and create a beautiful Valentine.

hello becreativewithnicole

The swirly “love” from HELLO LIFE fit just right below “hello”.  It turned out just as I pictured it!  A few RED GLIMMER hearts and voila’ a Valentine!

Hello Valentine becreativewithnicole.com

I hope I inspired you to use your everyday stamps for Valentines today!  Now it’s time to move on and see more favorites from the very talented ladies in this group.  Up next is Julie and I can’t wait to see what’s she’s made!  Be sure to hop all the way around, I know you’ll want to see all of the fabulous ideas!
