Perfect Mix for CCMC 455

Get ready to be inspired!!  This week we have a great sketch challenge over at Create with Connie and Mary!!

CCMC455

Love this week’s sketch!!  It took me a bit to pick which set to go with, but eventually decided on PERFECT MIX.

Perfect Mix by becreativewithnicole.com

This set is just too much fun!  Lots of ways to layer the different kitchen items!!  I embossed several of each stamp and played around with the design.

In the end, I liked the way Bermuda Bay and Calypso Coral worked together with the neutral tones.  And the best part, I have a bunch of extras for later….BONUS!

Dragonfly Dreams for CCMC454

There are several bundles from the Occasions Catalog that I have yet to work with.  So for this week’s Create with Connie and Mary Color Challenge, I pulled out the DRAGONFLY DREAMS Bundle for my card.  But before I get too far ahead, let’s take a look at the colors we are featuring this week.

CCMC454

Beautiful combination, don’t you think??  I wanted a soft watercolor look to go with DRAGONFLY DREAMS so I paired it up with products from the April My Paper Pumpkin.

Dragonfly Dreams by becreativewithnicole.com

I used the card base and one of the watercolor papers from the kit.  Everything else was from my regular stash of products.

Dragonfly Dreams becreativewithnicole.com

The water coloring shows off all three of our colors this week.  I used my aqua painter and ink pads to create the look.  I also added color to the rest of the background, a little bit of Island Indigo.  I used that same color for the dragonfly die cuts and added a bit of Wink of Stella to each to make them sparkle.

Dragonfly Dreams

The inside of the card had to be embellished as well.  The stamps from the kit along with the washi tape worked out beautifully.  The Mother’s Day sentiment on the front of the card was pulled from Oh So Succulent, I thought it was a wonderful greeting to go along with the MPP stamps.  Nice to get a head start on Mother’s Day this year!

So many ways to be creative with this sketch!!  My little guy is turning 4 this month so I used the challenge to get ready for this birthday with the Balloon Adventure Bundle.

Balloon Adventures becreativewithnicole.com

Lots of bright colors, perfect for Sammy! I even went crazy and stamped all over the inside to make the card extra special.

Cool Treats for CCMC452

I’ve been on a break for the last two months, but I’m starting to post cards again since I love stamping so much!  I’ve teamed up again with Create with Connie and Mary for the challenges they do on Thursdays and this week we have a beautiful color challenge.

CCMC452

So Saffron, Peek-a-boo Peach and Sahara Sand are gorgeous together, especially with spring starting.  I went with COOL TREATS and created a yummy orange creamsicle card.

Cool Treats becreativewithnicole.com

Peek-a-boo Peach is such a delicious color for COOL TREATS ice cream cones.  All of my family love orange creamsicle ice cream so this color combination was an easy one to work with.

Tasty Treats

I created a melted ice cream background using watercolor paper and an aqua painter with the Peek-a-boo Peach ink pad.  A few die cut sprinkles add some fun and we all know I love sprinkles and confetti!  Lastly, the sentiment was stamped on slender banners to layer below the ice cream.

Oh So Succulent

Along with everyone else, I am in love with SUCCULENTS!  And Stampin’ Up! is right in line with the trends by bringing us the fabulous OH SO SUCCULENT Bundle in the new Occasions Catalog.

oh-so-succulent

This gorgeous bundle is perfect for cards and 3D items as well, a dream come true!!  My first card has been inspired by the sketch challenge over at Create with Connie and Mary.

ccm439

I love this sketch and thought the succulents bundle was a perfect fit!

oh-so-succulent-becreativewithnicole-com

I actually combined several stamp sets to create this card.  As I’ve said before, Stampin’ Up! sets coordinate beautifully!!!  I pulled the small mason jar from JAR OF LOVE.  I love having the succulents in a cute little container.  Plus this supplied one of the elements of the card sketch.  Next, the succulents came from OH SO SUCCULENT.  Each one has an outline stamp and a solid stamp to add color and dimension.  And finally, the sentiment is from LIVE,LOVE,GROW.

oh-so-succulent

Did you notice the gorgeous designer paper??  It coordinates with the Succulent bundle, it’s called Succulent Garden.  It’s full of beautiful designs and soft colors.  I pulled my color inspiration from it.  Definitely a must have is you are getting the OH SO SUCCULENT Bundle.

Hello

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, we had a very busy but good one!  I am back today with another clean and simple card.  This has really become my favorite style of card lately, especially with lots of crisp white!

Hello My Friend becreativewithnicole.com

I used the Create with Connie and Mary color challenge that is still going on for my inspiration.

CCMC386

I love these three colors together, a perfect recipe for a CAS card!

hello friend

I did a little stamping and a little die cutting to create this clean look.  The stamp from the new Sale-a-bration set HELLO was a perfect match to the GREETINGS THINLITS.  I also added a little bit of the WINTER WONDERLAND VELLUM STACK, love the stripes under the sentiment!

Hello friend becreativewithnicole.com

And as you already know, sequins are always a great compliment on a crisp card so there are two gold ones added to this one.  I even added a couple to the envelope, couldn’t help myself!

As we wind down 2015 we have lots of new products to look forward to in 2016!  The Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-bration will begin on January 5th so you will be able to order all these great products very soon!  Until then, enjoy all the sneak peeks and get ready to make your wish list!

Holly Jolly Greetings

I’ve gone clean and simple today with a card featuring the HOLLY JOLLY GREETINGS BUNDLE.

Holly Jolly Greetings becreativewithnicole

Sometimes simple is just the way to go!

Holly Jolly Greetings becreativewithnicole.com

For inspiration, I used the color challenge from Create with Connie and Mary.

CCMC386

They have a two week color challenge that I just couldn’t resist!  I am really into using unusual colors for Christmas and Basic Black is one of my favorites to use.

peace

Even though the card is simple it still has sparkle and shine!  I heat embossed the snowflake for some shine.  Then I added in a gold glimmer paper die cut for some sparkle.  I also added in a few random gold sequins because as you know I believe sequins make everything look better!  And that’s it!  An easy peasy but still happy and sparkly Christmas card!
