Red and White Plus 1

Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week our theme is RED & WHITE PLUS 1.

I created a Valentine for my husband with the new NAILED IT Bundle.  He is a general contractor, so this was just perfect!

Nailed It becreativewithnicole.com

For my plus 1 color, I used Silver Foil paper on the saw.  The rest of the card is pretty clean and simple so the cut out saw would really stand out.

Love is in the Air

Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week our theme is LOVE IS IN THE AIR.

I went with the obvious choice and used LIFT ME UP for my card today.  It’s a simple design which is my favorite lately!

Lift Me Up becreativewithnicole.com

I thought about doing this on watercolor paper and adding a wash of blue for the sky, but instead I went with the WATERCOLOR WASH background stamp.  This is one of my favorite backgrounds ever made and it was perfect for this card.

Lift Me up

I added the sentiment in Dapper Denim, it’s a nice complimentary color to Soft Sky.  The balloon was a combination of Flirty Flamingo and Watermelon Wonder.  The pink balloon stand out nicely against the blue sky and white clouds.

SUPPLIES:

STAMPS:  Lift Me Up, Watercolor Wash Background

INKS:  Soft Sky, Dapper Denim, Watermelon Wonder

PAPER:  Whisper White, Flirty Flamingo

ACCESSORIES:   Up & Away Thinlits, Stampin’ Trimmer, Paper Snips, Bone Folder, dimensionals, SNAIL

Kid’s Birthday

Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week our theme is KID’S BIRTHDAY.

My little guy is turning 4 soon so I did a fun little CUSTOM TEE card for his birthday.

Custom Tee by becreativewithnicole.com

I love the simplicity of this card!  The sentiment was done with three coordinating shades of blue…Soft Sky, Marina Mist and Dapper Denim.

Custom Tee

The shirt itself is done with Marina Mist ink and cardstock.  I could have added more, but I think this clean and crisp design is perfect as it is.  Change up the sentiment and colors for just about any occasion!

SUPPLIES:

STAMPS:  Custom Tee

INKS:  Marina Mist, Soft Sky, Dapper Denim

PAPER:  Whisper White, Marina Mist

ACCESSORIES:   Stampin’ Trimmer, Paper Snips, Bone Folder, dimensionals

Isn’t this just too much fun!  I saw this cute truck and had to have it!

tasty-trucks

The background is a bunch of tacos which were colored with watercolor pencils and a versa marker.  The truck is popped up on dimensionals on top along with a fun sombrero that I cut out of the Festive Birthday papers.  The truck is done with watercolor pencils as well.  I love how nicely they color!!!  They are a real must have from the NEW Occasions Catalog!

Ring in the New

Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week our theme is RING IN THE NEW.

Hard to believe that 2016 is ending!  This year has flown by and been quite a whirlwind!  To welcome in 2017, I used IT’S A CELEBRATION from the Holiday Catalog.

its-a-celebration-becreativewithnicole-com

I added a pop of pink after being inspired by the POP OF PINK DSP and WASHI TAPE.  To bring in the pink I went with a Melon Mambo card base and added in a bit of embossing to add extra pizazz.  The sparkler is heat embossed in black then the “sparkle” is embossed over top in silver.  A couple of sequins from the FANCY FROST SEQUINS and a little WASHI TAPE and the card is all set!

My supply list is below so you can give this a try!

SUPPLIES:

STAMPS:  It’s a Celebration, Labeler Alphabet

INKS:  Versa Mark

PAPER:  Whisper White, Melon Mambo

ACCESSORIES:   Pop of Pink Designer Washi Tape, Fancy Frost Sequins, Embossing Buddy, Silver Embossing Powder, Black embossing powder, Heat tool,  Stampin’ Trimmer, Paper Snips, Bone Folder, SNAIL, Mini Glue Dots

Christmas Pines

Another quick and easy Christmas card for today!  I’m using CHRISTMAS PINES again and featuring the PINE BOUGH EMBOSSING FOLDER with PRESENTS AND PINECONES DSP.

christmas-pines-becreativewithnicole-com

While this is an easy card to make, it still is quite beautiful!  The embossed pine needles really make this card stand out.  I even added a little shimmer to them by using WINK OF STELLA.

And the designer paper is a perfect match!  The small pinecones and pine branches are a compliment to the card design.

Suite Seasons plus an Announcement!

With the holidays fast approaching, I have been looking for ways to make simple yet beautiful cards.  Today I let the Designer Series Paper do all the work.

suite-seasons-becreativewithnicole-com

I didn’t originally intend for the card to be so simple, but I loved the look of this sentiment stamped on the designer paper.

suite-seasons

I die cut pine needles and pine cones then even pulled out sequins, but it all seemed to be over done.  I tried out each item with the card and it just didn’t fit.  Goes to show that sometimes just some simple stamping and beautiful paper is enough!  This would be a great design to mass produce if you needed cards at the last minute.

OK….how about that announcement that I mentioned in the title.  There is something exciting going on over at CREATE WITH CONNIE AND MARY!!  Head on over to find out what the excitement is all about…..I know you’ll love it…..we are bringing back a great treat!!
