Color Fuse Blog Hop: July 2016 – Part 1

Welcome to the first week of the COLOR FUSE BLOG HOP!  Twice a month on the first and third Monday’s we’ll be bringing you inspiration through color!  July’s hops will feature three gorgeous In Colors.

Color Fuse July

I am hooked on making little pouches with the ENVELOPE PUNCH BOARD so I thought it would be fun to make one for today.

Banners for You becreativewithnicole.com

This sweet little card was created from a little bit of this and a little bit of that!  My inspiration came from the BANNERS FOR YOU Bundle.   I really love the banners, so useful in so many ways!  It made a great focal point and sentiment for the center of my envelope pouch.

Banners For You Card becreativewithnicole.com

I did a breakdown of all the products used in the picture above, these are all favorites of mine!  Like I’ve said before, I use all Stampin’ Up! products because of the cohesion.  All the colors, stamps and accessories all blend beautifully together.

Let’s go back to the pouch for a second.  It’s just like the one I shared HERE that was a seed packet holder.  I used KRAFT CARDSTOCK  measuring 6″ x 6″ and followed the directions on the ENVELOPE PUNCH BOARD scoring and punching beginning on the 3″ line.  The card insert measures in at 3 1/2″ x 4 1/4″.  I added a bit of the fun new Ruched Ribbon in Flirty Flamingo to pull the card from the pouch.

I hope you enjoyed today’s bit of inspiration!  This ENVELOPE PUNCH BOARD pouch can be turned into anything you like!  Just sit down with some of your favorite products and let the creativity begin!  Speaking of creativity, let’s move on to the rest of the Color Fuse Design Team and see what awesomeness they have for us today!  Just follow the links below and enjoy all the inspiration!

Creation Station Blog Hop

Creation Station header

Welcome to the Creation Station Blog Hop for July!  This month we are sharing cards and projects with the theme GIFTS FROM THE GARDEN.  We have tons of ideas to share, so be sure to hop all the way around to see everyone’s cards and projects!

Since we are going with a garden theme today, I used the new bundle JAR OF LOVE to create a fun little seed packet holder and matching gift card.

Jar of Love becreativewithnicole.com

I just love this bundle!!!  My brain hurts just contemplating how many different ways to use these cool Mason jars!  This little seed packet holder and card are a perfect little something to give as a thank you.

Jar of Love becreativewithnicole

To make the seed packet holder sturdy I used kraft cardstock.  I love this kraft color with the blues and coral….so pretty!  Have you guessed how I made the little pocket??  If you said ENVELOPE PUNCH BOARD you are right!  It was easy peasy.  Just cut the kraft cardstock 6″x 6″ and start at the 3″ line for scoring and punching.  Instead of scoring the last flap, leave it alone and cut it down instead.  I just left about a half inch of cardstock at the back to support the seed packets.

Jar of Love

The jar of flowers is pretty simple as well.  All the flowers and leaves were die cut with the coordinating EVERYDAY JARS FRAMELITS.  The flowers are Calypso Coral, the first layer is stamped off to give the variation in color.  The leaves are in Pear Pizzaz which looks beautiful with the coral.  I added in Dapper Denim as an accent color to tie in the color from the seed packet….worked out pretty well!!

Jar of Love card becreativewithnicole.com

The gift card is done with all the same colors and made to fit the medium sized jar.  I cut the card base 7 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ with the focus all on the jar of flowers.  It compliments the seed packet nicely and gives you a way to add a little note to the recipient.

Jar of Love becreativewithnicole.com

I hope I provided you will a little inspiration for JAR OF LOVE.  Now let’s check out what the rest of the very talented Design Team has made.  The next stop is Mikaela Titheridge and if you just started here, be sure to go back and see Kimberly Van Diepen.   As you are hopping through, leave comments to let us know what you think….we love to get your feedback!  Thanks so much for joining us this month for GIFTS FROM THE GARDEN.

Sweet Sugarplum

Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This month we are featuring the NEW IN COLORS!!  This week is SWEET SUGARPLUM and it’s as sweet as it’s name!

This card was actually created without today’s color and blog hop in mind.  I was experimenting with the SHOOTING STAR BUNDLE and the gorgeous new BLOOMS AND BLISS DSP and this card pretty much made itself!  I was going to post it one day last week then I realized it would be better to save it for the SWEET SUGARPLUM blog hop.

Shooting Star Bundle becreativewithnicole.com

Is this just too sweet or what!!!  I added a bit of RICH RAZZLEBERRY as an accent color and love the results!

Shooting Star Bundle

Up close you can see the designer paper underneath the penny slider that was created with the SLIDING STAR FRAMELITS.  It’s full of flowers which is just perfect for the honeybee from SHOOTING STAR.  I also gave the bee a couple of Rich Razzleberry SWIRLY SCRIBBLES FRAMELIT flowers.  The card is really super simple and yet wonderful interactive!

Shooting Star Bundle becreativewithnicole.com

If you haven’t taken a look at the SHOOTING STAR BUNDLE, you so should!! This bundle is just full of possibilities, especially using the slider die cuts for all sorts of other stamp sets!  I actually did this month’s JUNE MINI SESSION card set with this bundle, you can find more details HERE if you want to know more!!

Annual Catalog International Blog Hop

June International Blog Hop

Welcome to the Annual Catalog International Blog Hop!  I feel so privileged to be included in such a talented group of stampers!  You may be coming from Sylvia’s fabulous blog or just starting out here in the USA.  Either way, enjoy yourself as you visit bloggers from all over the globe.  We have lots of amazing ideas for you featuring NEW products!  So sit back and have fun traveling along with us today!

Foxy Friends by becreativewithnicole.com

I sat down with a super fun new bundle and had oodles of fun!  FOXY FRIENDS is a mix and match type of stamp set, you have tons of ways to use it!  To make it even cooler there is a coordinating punch!

Foxy FriendsI did several cards, two of which showcase the coordinating designer paper stack called A LITTLE FOXY.

Foxy Friends becreativewithnicole

My favorite of the three is a penny slider card that couldn’t be more fun!  I designed this one first….by accident!  I had been working on slider cards with the SHOOTING STAR bundle and thought it would be fun to do a FOXY FRIENDS slider too.  The SLIDING STAR FRAMELITS make the process SUPER EASY!  After the slider portion was ready, I stamped a cute skunk and added a few final details.

Foxy Friends

The second card was quite quick and is perfect for giving a little note to someone special.  It’s only 3″x3″ so it would be perfect for using up scraps of designer paper and cardstock.  This time the critter I created was a cute little racoon.  He’s holding a heart to coordinate with the sentiment that I used from last month’s My Paper Pumpkin.

Foxy Friends becreativewithnicole.com

And last but not least, a cute little fox in the forest.  A Soft Sky card base measuring 3″x 6″ forms the background for the scene.  Mint Macaroon grass and trees give the fox a place to hang out.  I went back and forth about the sentiment and finally decided on birthday.  I used the sweet birthday greeting from BALLOON CELEBRATION because of the lovely handwritten script.  It’s delicate and beautiful and stamped in black is a nice contrast to the lighter colors.

Foxy Friends by becreativewithnicole.com

So, now you have three new ideas for using this fantastic new FOXY FRIENDS BUNDLE!  How about more ideas????  Well, check out the list below and visit all the blogs to see the amazing ideas to be had!  Thanks for visiting, have fun hopping around!

Jar of Love

Clean and simple cards are a favorite of mine…love the open space and crispness!  Today’s card is all that using the new set JAR OF LOVE.

Jar of Love by becreativewithnicole.com

Isn’t this great!  Boldness from the Emerald Envy and Basic Black pop against the softness of the Crumb Cake and White.

Jar of Love becreativewithnicole

Best part, this was EASY to make!  I heat embossed the jar and sentiment in white….that’s it! The thing I spent the longest on was picking a sentiment!  I like all the sentiments from this set, but I ended up using one from FLOWER PATCH.   I love the bold lettering and the statement that it makes, really works for this card!

Jar of Love

The inside is simple as well with a coordinating sentiment from FLOWER PATCH and the leaves stamped in Emerald Envy.  The same leaves are on the envelope as well, you know I love to match!

Jar of Love by becreativewithnicole.com

What a fabulous stamp set!  Did you know JAR OF LOVE can be purchased in a bundle with the coordinating framelits??  You really need to check this one out, so many possibilities!

Jar of LoveIf you are looking for more ideas with stamps in the new catalog you should check out the JUNE MINI SESSION from Create with Connie and Mary!  We have 5 full tutorials for you with ALL NEW STAMPS!!  The session is LIVE right now so no waiting either!  Go to CREATE WITH CONNIE AND MARY to find out more…..I hope you’ll join us!!

More Biggest Birthday Ever

Saturday I shared a birthday card using the fun new bundle BIGGEST BIRTHDAY EVER.  I loved the card so much I did a second version to show you today.

Biggest Birthday Ever becreativewithnicole.com

I changed up a few of the details to create a new look.  Pop of Pink DSP is still used for the edges, just a different pattern.  This bold stripe is one of my favorites!  I ended up with the cake looking the same, I really love the polka dot layers!  In place of stamping sprinkles all over the front, I pulled out the SPRINKLES PUNCH and added SILVER GLIMMER confetti…love a little bling!!

Biggest Birthday Ever inside of cardI also wanted to share the inside of the card with you.  I used another fun new set called BIRTHDAY BANNERS.  It coordinates beautifully with any of the birthday stamp int he catalog.  I used the candle and fun sentiment to coordinate.

I hope you enjoyed version 2 of my BIGGEST BIRTHDAY EVER card!  You can see the first one HERE.  ALSO, have you signed up for the JUNE MINI SESSION FOR CREATE WITH CONNIE AND MARY??  It’s LIVE now and full of fun!  Visit Create with Connie and Mary to sign up and join us!!

Flirty Flamingo

Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This month we are featuring the NEW IN COLORS!!  FLIRTY FLAMINGO is this week’s color which is quickly becoming a favorite!

I used the new BIGGEST BIRTHDAY EVER Bundle for my card and I have to tell you…..this bundle is TOO.MUCH.FUN!

Biggest Birthday Ever becreativewithnicole

There are endless possibilities for the slice of cake and all the accessories!

Biggest Birthday Ever by becreativewithnicole.com

To showcase FLIRTY FLAMINGO, I kept the colors simple by adding just black and white.  The strips of designer paper along the sides are from the POP OF PINK Specialty DSP.  The stripes add a nice bold touch to the card and makes the pink stand out even more!  The cake itself is all FLIRTY FLAMINGO.  The cute polka dot layers are stamped after the cake was added to the card.  It was easy peasy to line up since the stamps are photopolymer!   The one thing this set doesn’t have it sentiments.  So, I used a nice bold greeting from CONFETTI CELEBRATION. It gave the celebratory look I was going for.  After a few sprinkles (more like a lot!) and sequins the card was done!

Now, let’s get to the good stuff, the supply list so you can make your own BIGGEST BIRTHDAY EVER card.

SUPPLIES:

STAMPS:   Biggest Birthday Ever, Confetti Celebration

INKS: Flirty Flamingo, Archival Black

PAPER: Whisper White, Flirty Flamingo, Basic Black, Pop of Pink Specialty DSP

Creation Station Blog Hop: All New Products!

Creation Station header

Welcome to the Creation Station Blog Hop for June!  This month we are all about NEW PRODUCTS!!!!  Yep, it’s that magical time of year when the new ANNUAL CATALOG is released with tons of new stamps and goodies to create with. We have tons of ideas to share, so be sure to hop all the way around to see everyone’s cards and projects!

I splurged and got new goodies shipped 2nd day air (EEK….so excited) so I have lots of new stamps and things to use.  The first thing I gravitated to was the awesome new SWEET CUPCAKE BUNDLE.

Sweet Cupcake Bundle becreativewithnicole.com

I’m totally obsessed with the amazingly realistic cupcake frosting!  Isn’t this just too cool!

Sweet Cupcake Bundle

The bundle has the Sweet Cupcake photopolymer stamp set and Cupcake Cutouts Framelits.  There are so many ways to use them alone or together….I can’t wait to come up with as many ideas as possible!

Sweet Cupcake Mini Treat Card becreativewithnicole.com

I went a little bolder with today’s card versus the Peekaboo Peach card from yesterday.  This time POP OF PINK DSP was my inspiration.  The MINI TREAT BAG thinlit gives this card a fun playful design.  The inside of the card is just as bold as the outside using Melon Mambo, Whisper White and Basic Black.  I also added in a sprinkle of silver with glimmer paper and sequins.

Sweet Cupcake becreativewithnicole

The cupcake itself is only two colors surprisingly enough!  The cupcake liner is Smokey Slate and the frosting is Melon Mambo.  I simply stamped with different tones of ink.  Layer one for both is full strength ink then layers two and three are stamped off once.  With the coordinating die cuts, I had them cut out and on the card in no time!  I also used my favorite new loopy die from the framelits to add bling.  I have a feeling that this loopy die cut will end up on more than just Sweet Cupcake cards! Ok….enough about how much I love this bundle, lets move on to what the rest of the team has to offer.

The next stop is DENITA’S awesome blog.   If you’ve just started here, you can also go back to ELIZABETH’S wonderful blog to see her project for today.  Be sure to hop all the way around to see all the fabulous new catalog inspiration!
